Babies' First Pictures
These pictures were taken the day
after the twin boys were born. Both were 14" long.
Kaiden, the first-born at 3:26 p.m.
on July 31, 2001, is in the incubator with the purple lights. His eyes must be
covered due to the bright light. He weighed 2 lbs. 14 oz. As of yesterday, 8/2/01, he was
breathing on his own but both babies will remain in incubators until they reach at least 5
lbs ~ approximately 7 more weeks. They were 30-week babies. Both are doing fine.

Kane was born 4:11 p.m. on July 31, 2001. He weighed 1 lb. 13 oz. but as of yesterday, 8/2, he weighed 1 lb. 9 oz. Kane is not in an incubator but on special breathing machines with a glass cover over him and under a bright yellow light. Both babies' eyes must be covered when under the bright lights, but the nurse dimmed the light so we could see his face.

Both babies are very active, moved their fingers, toes, arms and legs, and I saw Kane even cry a couple of times. Both babies are perfectly formed and have lots of hair.
The kids say thanks for all the emails and good wishes. They're thrilled with their new little guys.
As of Aug. 25, Kaiden weighs 3.2 and Kane weighs 2.1, but Kaiden has an infection and is on special watch for 72 hours. He's very active, which is good in one way but not in another. Your prayers are needed for the little guys.
As of September 25th, Kaiden is over 5 lbs. and Kane is almost 5 lbs. They're growing fast and slowly coming off the respirators. They'll be home soon.
